Regional Directors of Operations (RDO's)

The range of health and personal social services provided by the HSE and its funded agencies are managed within four Regions (Dublin Mid Leinster, Dublin North East, South and West). The four Regional Directors of Operations also manage the funding of services provided on behalf of the HSE through a large number of non statutory agencies.

Each of the HSE's 4 regions are currently sub-divided in to a number of HSE Areas, each with an Area Manager who reports to the RDO above. Each Area Manager oversees the provision of health and personal social services in hospitals and in communities including primary care, mental health, disability, children, youth and families, continuing care services and social inclusion services.
