HSE Continuum of Care - our partners within the Health Service
We work with Cuan Dara detoxification centre, Keltoi residential treatment centre and the Rehabilitation Integration Service. Cuan Dara provides a six-week, residential stabilisation and detox service. People who successfully complete detox can then go to Keltoi's 8-week, residential treatment programme. Following this, participants return to Soilse's 6-month, day programme to consolidate their recovery and gain the skills and knowledge for career progression. The Rehabilitation Integration Service provides valuable options such as supported accommodation or housing. Support is also provided by psychiatrists, counsellors, outreach services, maternity services, general assistants, community welfare officers, doctors and computer support staff.
FETAC - our partner for education
Soilse is a registered FETAC Centre. Participants on the Soilse programme have the opportunity to attain FETAC awards at Levels 3 and 4.
Level 3 modules include: Communications, Maths, Personal and Interpersonal Skills, Computer Literacy, Art and Design, Craft, Drama, Preparation for Work, Health and Fitness.
Level 4 modules include: Communications, Computer Applications, Painting, Drawing, Woodcraft.
Participants receive a minor FETAC award for successful completion of each module. Minor awards can be accumulated over time towards a major FETAC award.
CDVEC - our partner for literacy and career guidance
Difficulties with reading and writing, resulting from interrupted education and early school leaving, are common among Soilse participants. Soilse provides literacy tuition (group and one to one) and ongoing literacy support.
Participants also receive one-to-one guidance counselling to help them identify a personal progression pathway from rehabilitation to further education, training and employment.
Our partners in Dublin's north inner city
Soilse, a HSE service, is located in the area covered by the North Inner City Local Drug Task Force (NICLDTF). We are actively involved in the task force's Treatment and Rehabilitation Network Group which focuses on information-sharing, policy and advocacy work.
Soilse is also represented on the Drug Working Group, a sub-committee of the North West Inner City Network (NWICN). This is a network of drug service providers operating in the area from O'Devaney Gardens toHardwick Street.
Both the North Inner City Local Drug Task Force and the North West Inner City Network are interagency groups, comprising statutory, voluntary and community organisations in Dublin's north inner city.
We also work with a number of other agencies. Interagency work
