West Clinical Workshop

The workshop provides a clinical interface between Sligo General Hospital; General Practitioners in the hospital’s catchment area, and Sligo / Leitrim PCCC Services. It presents participants with an opportunity to discuss a range of commonly encountered conditions and their management. Clinical areas / topics covered are determined on an annual basis and to date have included e.g.; Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Neurology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Respiratory Medicine, Early Management of Stroke, General Surgery, Endocrinology and Medical Oncology.

The workshop provides an innovative forum for debate and discussion regarding patient journeys from community to hospital and vice versa as well as a forum for discussion on areas of mutual interest. ICGP Accreditation for CME is sought for this event.

Fliers are circulated to General Practitioners and Consultants in the catchment area inviting their participation in advance of the workshop.
