Occupational Therapy
These services are provided to people who through illness or disability are in need of support or changes to their lifestyle. Occupational Therapists can advise on any changes that may be needed in the home to support a person with special needs, and on activities that will help a person to regain their independence. Physiotherapy
Community Physiotherapy services are provided from the Local Health Office, helping people who have suffered an injury or illness to regain their health or mobility through exercise and movement. Speech and Language Therapy Service
Community Speech and Language Therapy provides an assessment/intervention service usually in local health centres for children presenting with communication difficulties. Enquiries can be made to the Speech and Language Department, Mary Mercer Health Centre, Tel: (01) 458 5795.

Speech and Language services are also based in the following specialist/hospital services in the area: Cheeverstown House, Enable Ireland, Lucena, AMNCH and Our Lady's Hospital, Crumlin.

New Speech and Language therapy service for adults aged 18-65 who have acquired or progressive communication and/or swallowing difficulties. This service is provided for all people in the Dublin South West area and is available from Killinarden Health Centre Tel: (01) 462 6260.
