An Garda Síochána, medical and nursing personnel from the HSE, Rape Crisis Network Ireland and the Forensic Science Laboratory have come together to author and edit the 2^nd Edition of Recent Rape/Sexual Assault: National Guidelines on Referral and Forensic Clinical Examination in Ireland. The interagency nature of these guidelines will serve to facilitate consistent provision of high quality services, regardless of the circumstances of the assault or the victim’s involvement with criminal justice agencies.
