The Blood Bank at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda provides the following services:

• Haemovigilance Service - the haemovigilance department is responsible for ensuring that "the right patient, gets the right blood, at the right time" and associated haemovigilance-related issues.
• Phlebotomy Service - The Phlebotomy department is responsible for taking blood samples for diagnostic testing during normal working hours and the ward round on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
• Consultant Service - The Consultant Haematologist,where information is required on clinical issues related to Blood Transfusion.
  

Opening Times of the Blood Bank and associated services:

• Phlebotomy Out-patient Service - Monday to Friday 8.30 am - 5.00pm
• Phlebotomy In-patient Service Monday to Friday from 7.00am - 4.00pm, Saturday & Sunday from 7.00am - 13.00pm
• Specimen Reception Monday - Friday from 9.00am - 5.00pm
• Routine Laboratory Diagnostic Service Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm
