The Surgical Services in Waterford Regional Hospital consists of the following:

Surgical 7
A seven day 31 bedded ward that has a facility for ENT causalities from 17.00hrs to 08.00hrs

Surgical 5
A 5.5 day ward with 25 beds open from Monday to Saturday lunchtime, which caters mainly for short stay surgical patients.

SDSU
A Surgical Day Services Unit that has a mix of patients undergoing Ophthalmology, General surgical, Orthopaedic, Vascular, Urology, Gynaecology, Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) and other procedures.

ICU
There is a 6 bedded ICU which is a tertiary referral centre for Nephrology patients from the region.
