Addiction Services
The South Tipperary Substance Misuse Service is located at South Tipperary General Hospital, Western Road, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and has been in operation since 2000. Its sister Service, The Mental Health Addiction Service, located in Coolgreaney House Clonmel has been in operation since 1992. These Services offer low threshold, easy access to a wide range of responses in an effort to assist individuals and/or their families, as well as the wider Community in general, in dealing with the issues of Alcohol/Substance Misuse.


Among the key services provided are:
¥ Substance Misuse Counselling for adults and adolescence;
¥ Information on treatment;
¥ Information on, and access to Drug Education Training;
¥ Development of Substance Misuse Policies;
¥ Parenting Programmes;
¥ Drug Facts Presentations;
¥ Satellite Clinics (in Tipperary Town, Cashel, Carrick-on-Suir, Mullinahone);
¥ Drop in Clinic (Clonmel Tuesday mornings);
¥ Drop in Service for Polish and Russian speaking foreign nationals (Tuesday evenings 5pm - 8pm).
