Counselling services at Outhouse are free, friendly and confidential. First introduced in 2001, the counselling service has been increasingly in demand, resulting in a waiting time for services.

All individuals requesting counselling are seen first for one assessment to determine the type of involvement needed. In some cases persons are referred to other counsellors or services.

The counselling service, primarily for gay and bisexual men is also available to lesbian and bisexual women and transgender persons. Generally clients are seen at Outhouse.

Personal Development & Assertiveness Course:

The Personal Development and Assertiveness courses are for gay and bisexual men and men who have sex with men (MSM).   The overall aim of the course is to help you become more aware of yourself and improve your self esteem and assertiveness.  Personal development is all about making positive changes in your life and improving your health and well being.  The course can be both fun and challenging and helps you learn coping skills for everyday situations.

The course is run over 6 weeks on a Tuesday evening starting at 6.30pm in Outhouse LGBT Community Centre, 105 Capel St., Dublin 1. It is free and if you are interested or want more information please contact or telephone 01-8734932
