Ard Aoibhinn, Dementina Unit, Carndonagh Community Hospital is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this Sunday 18th of June
Light refreshments will be served from 1 - 5pm and an Ecumenical Service at 1:30
Music will be provided by local musicians - The Carndonagh brass band, local traditional music by John Mc Geoghan and Irish Dancers to entertain.
Ard Aoibhinn was first opened in 2007 and is a purpose built 16 bedded unit for clients with a diagnosis of dementia.
Ard Aoibhinn is an important point for the assessment , continuing care and support for the families and carers. Support is also provided by the Multi disciplinary and Primary care Team.
The unit also provides Respite care for clients. This is a planned service which gives the family/carer a break.
The event is open to everyone in the community who have used the services, are within the service or maybe would like to avail of the service.
Staff will be available on the day to assist anyone who would like to know more about the service.
Everyone is very welcome to this community event and we would love to see a great turnout for this 10 year anniversary celebration.
