Swine Flu is a flu virus that spread around the world during 2009 and 2010. It is now part of the winter flu that we are seeing in 2011.

For most of us, flu causes mild to moderate illness, and most people are able to get better at home after about a week. Plenty of fluids, paracetamol or ibuprofen and rest will ensure that most people recover. Only people with severe symptoms or existing health conditions should need medical care or advice from their GP, which might include prescription of anti-viral medicine.
