Swine Flu Vaccine - It Stops with YOU

The overall Swine Flu Vaccination programme came to a close on March 31st 2010. From November to March, the vaccine was made available first to key target groups, and then to the whole population, through a combination of GPs, Hospitals and special HSE Vaccine Clinics.

However, we continue to recommend that pregnant women are vaccinated against Swine Flu. This is because they were particularly affected by Swine Flu and in previous pandemics there have been second waves of the flu. It is very likely that swine flu will circulate again in the coming autumn/winter. Pregnant women who need to be vaccinated against Swine Flu can contact either their GP or their Maternity Unit.
