Grade VII National Breastfeeding Co-ordinator

Expressions of interest are sought for the position of National Breastfeeding Co-ordinator to support the national implementation of Breastfeeding in a Healthy Ireland Health Service Breastfeeding Action Plan 2016 – 2021 (HSE, 2016).

The successful candidate will be based with Health Promotion and Improvement, Health & Wellbeing Division and for 12 months will be seconded to work half-time with the National Healthy Childhood Programme Team, and half time with the National Women and Infants Health Programme (NWIHP).

Expressions of Interest are invited from staff currently employed at Grade VII level,or similar grade, who are interested in reassigning to the above role. All staff of the HSE, TUSLA and bodies which provide services on the behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004, are eligible to apply.

Reassignment will be on the basis of decision on skill match following meeting with line management. Short listing may apply on the information supplied in CV submitted. Skill match meetings will take place November 2017.

Tenure: Temporary assignment (grade to grade). Assignment is for 12 month duration initially, after which the position will be reviewed with a possible extension, based on the review.
Location of Post: Existing base but frequent travel will be required to ensure project objectives can be met efficiently and effectively.
