The Patient Advocacy and Liaison Service (PALS) team at UL Hospitals Group acts as a point of contact between patients, their families/carers and the hospital. The service is available in University Hospital Limerick, Ennis Hospital, Nenagh Hospital, Croom Orthopaedic Hospital and University Maternity Hospital Limerick.

"Our primary role in PALS is to be the advocate for our patients in the hospital when they need advice." says Niamh Hogan, PALS Manager as she describes role of the team at UL Hospitals Group. Niamh works as part of a team of six PALS managers across UL Hospitals Group.

We have a dedicated PALS team based in our Emergency Department (ED) at University Hospital Limerick. Joanne Mannion and Kathleen Keane support patients and their families. They also provides a clinic in the department to support listen and advise patients and families during their ED stay.

The clinic is open from 2pm to 4pm on weekdays.
