A conversation that improved a relationship

A colleague had a conflict with their manager and then was very upset afterwards.  They thought about it all weekend and asked to have a conversation with the manger about it the following week.  They used the behaviours grid as a guide for their discussion about what happened and talked about how they hadn't put themselves in each others shoes, and called each other out gently on toxic behaviours.  The conversation went extremely well and they were surprised at how helpful the behaviours were in helping them to talk openly and understand each other better.  The result was an improved working relationship.
