Kindness has rubbed off

Sometimes acts of kindness no matter how small can really improve the environment you’re working in and your work life becomes a place you enjoy attending as opposed to one you dread. One of my colleagues is always doing an extra kind thing, whenever a colleague is leaving or it’s their birthday my colleague is always the one who organises the send-off or the celebration. She organises the collection, buys the card, the present, bakes a cake and generally ensures our colleagues feel appreciated and the work they have done is acknowledged. My colleague would always brush the appreciation off when we thank her for going to so much effort but it’s those kind gestures that help make our division a positive place to work. My colleague is a massive part of that and I can see that her kindness has rubbed off on many of my other colleagues who carry out small acts of kindness on a daily basis.  Thank you!
