Time well spent

During a physiotherapy appointment an elderly lady spoke about the time she spent in Respite in the community nursing unit.  She met a lovely nurse on nights who chatted with her and reassured her.  The lady said she felt very cared for and really appreciated the time the nurse sat with her.  She also said she had a jacuzzi bath and was looking forward to her next respite date.

The physiotherapist met the nurse that was on nights and told her how much the lady appreciated the time and attention she gave her and that it shaped her whole respite experience.  Openly acklowledging the work and efforts of our colleagues can have a positive effect
