The 2017 Rose of Tralee visited the Dialysis Unit at the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore last Wednesday the 11th April 2018.

Offaly Rose Dr Jennifer Byrne attended with Mr Jerome Burke, Chairperson of the Offaly branch of the IKA. Jennifer is a qualified doctor from NUI Galway and has a keen interest in renal medicine. She met with the dialysis patients and members of the renal multidisciplinary team during her visit. Hailing from Clonaderig in Offaly, Jennifer was truly at home meeting many patients that knew her and her family before she became Rose of Tralee.

Jennifer was very keen to hear patient stories and experiences in dialysis treatment. She was charming, kind and very considerate to the patients."
