INEWS QI Resources

DPIP has partnered with the national Quality Improvement team to develop tools and resources to support acute hospitals to audit, develop and sustain quality improvement initiatives. These will support the effectiveness and implementation of INEWS.

Deteriorating Patient Improvement Programme Partnership (DPIPP) developed a quality improvement learning set incorporating subject-matter expertise (DPIP Team) and tried and tested QI methodology (National QI Team) to enable local bespoke improvement initiatives.

The National Clinical Guideline No. 1 Irish National Early Warning System (INEWS) V2 can assist healthcare professionals in the timely assessment of and response to the clinical deterioration of acutely ill adult patients. 

This webinar will introduce the changes in INEWS V2 which have been revised to improve patient safety.

The Deteriorating Patient Recognition & Response Improvement Programme were invited by the National Quality Improvement team to participate in the QPS Talktime.
The webinar named  ‘QI and Large Scale Change – Reflections of the Deteriorating Patient Improvement Programme’ was very successful with over 100 people joining to share wisdom and experiences of leading large scale change with local implementation taking a QI approach in an integrated thoughtful way.
