Ideas for Steps Challenge throughout the year
If you have participated in this year's National Steps to Health Challenge or one in your local area you will be familiar with walking challenges which aim to get you more active. We know the Physical Activity Guidelines are 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity on 5 or more days a week and many of you were achieving a lot more than that during the National Challenge which is fantastic.
Over 10,000 staff participated in this year's National Challenge which finished on 16th June 2019. Thousands of staff created the fantastic habit of walking daily and increasing their step count. The National Steps to Health Challenge will run again provisionally at the end of April 2020.
In the mean time if you would like to keep up this great habit, we have some ideas for you below that can be carried out during the year.
