Get tested

A doctor or nurse in certain health services might offer to test you for hepatitis C. If you test positive you can be referred to get treatment.

You can also ask your GP to test you. If you do not have a medical card there may be a charge for the test.

There are between 20,000 and 30,000 people living in Ireland with hepatitis C. 3 out of 5 of them do not know they have it.

There is a cure for hepatitis C. To get cured, you first need to get tested.
