Kilkenny Initiative for Training & Education (The K.I.T.E. Service)

The K.I.T.E. service is a H.S.E. outreach support service for adults with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. K.I.T.E.’s remit covers the areas of Carlow, Kilkenny and South Tipperary.  

K.I.T.E.’s role includes the provision of support, guidance and training to service providers in the development and delivery of services to adults with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. The service also offers direct services to adults with high functioning autism / Asperger’s syndrome through the provision of focused training programmes in areas such as social skills development, stress management, anger management, independent living skills and self-organisation. K.I.T.E. provides social support evening programmes and person-centred, individual support programmes at times of transition or challenge in a service user’s life.
