Assessment and Intervention Services

Early Intervention Team Services

The Early Intervention Team offers assessment and support services. We work collaboratively with others involved in supporting the child’s development including families, preschools, other relevant professional’s and members of the child's wider support system. We offer a wide range of supports and services to the children and families attending the service.

These inputs may include the following:

  •  Multidisciplinary team assessments of children and families strengths and needs.
  •  Parent Programmes (e.g. Hanen ‘More Than Words’, Hanen ‘Talkability’, Parents Plus, Timid to Tiger, ASCEND, Triple P Parenting).
  •  Parent Workshop (e.g. Better Sleep, Toileting, Visual Supports, Social Stories).
  •  Group interventions.
  •  Consultations to Preschool and/or other professionals working with the child.
  •  Individual intervention.
  •  Referral to Primary Care service and/or other community services if and when  indicated for intervention

Appointments take place at our clinic. We occasionally offer home or school-based meetings depending on a child and family's particular needs. Where a child is attending another health or education service, we may work together with these agencies in planning supports for the child.
