Friends of St. Josephs

The Friend’s of St. Joseph’s CNU is a voluntary group with charitable status established in 1999.  The main objectives of the group are to establish, promote, operate or support the initiative and every manner of fundraising activities and events directed towards the funding and generation of development in facilities, services and equipment at St. Joseph’s CNU for the benefit of the residents therein.  Some examples of previously funded items include – upgrade of the TV system on site and provision of brand new wall mounted TVs for all the new single bedrooms, specialist chairs, Mindfulness sessions for the residents, ongoing support for the Activities programme in the Centre, funding for Transport on Day Trips throughout the year for the residents, entertainment at the Annual Garden and Christmas Parties.

The “Friends” primarily to assist with, and or provide for residents comforts by promoting awareness of the comfort needs of the residents in St Joseph's CNU Trim, forming partnerships with other fundraising organisations to fundraise and promote and provide a home from home atmosphere for the residents.  100% of all funds raised to provide for the resident's comforts.

The committee meets on a regular basis.  They also hold subcommittee meetings with the Management of St. Joseph’s to discuss issues which relate to residents comforts and have an ongoing collaborative working relationship as we strive to ensure the overall comfort needs of residents are being met.
