What are 'Early Intervention Services'?
The Roscommon Early Intervention Service is a team of therapists and clinicians who work with children who have significant developmental needs and their families to help them reach their full potential.
We know that children learn best in their daily lives; when they are doing their usual routines, in the places they are most familiar, with the people they know best and when the activity is all about their favourite interests. With this in mind, we work in close partnership with parents, carers and any other important stakeholder to develop programmes of interventions to target:
- Sensory skills
Our work involves assessment and intervention with children who have complex needs. This includes working with children with physical, sensory and cognitive needs; and needs relating to the Autism Spectrum.
Early Intervention services are available to children from birth to school age.
