Genito Urinary Clinic (GUM) in Monaghan Hospital

Funding from the European Union's INTERRREG IVA programme has enabled the HSE to establish, for the first time, a sexual health Genito Urinary Clinic (GUM) in Monaghan Hospital. This means that anybody concerned about their sexual health will now have access to a locally-based GUM service in the Cavan and Monaghan area. The EU funding for this new service was secured by Co-operation and Working Together (CAWT), the cross border health services partnership, in which the HSE is a partner.

The new sexual health clinic commenced in December 2012 and is based at the Outpatients Dept in Monaghan Hospital. The clinic operates Tuesday mornings, from 9 am to 12.30 pm. Appointments can be made by telephoning 086 8241847 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. The clinic is delivered by a multidisciplinary team and provides a comprehensive service for people concerned about sexually transmitted infections and their sexual health in general.
