Connolly Hospital is a major teaching and health promoting hospital providing a range of services to a diverse population covering the communities of West Dublin, North Kildare and South County Meath. These services include a 24 hour Emergency Department, acute medical and surgical services, acute psychiatric services, day care, out-patient care plus diagnostic and therapeutic and support services.

Visiting information

To continue to help protect our patients, staff and visitors, please note that all visitors to Connolly Hospital are required to wear a Surgical Mask once on-site. Surgical masks are available and can be provide to all visitors at the entrance to the Hospital. It is also strongly advised that prior to arrival, all visitors take an antigen test.

Routine Visiting

  • Daily visiting hours: 5.30pm to 8pm
  • Only one visitor per patient is allowed

Exceptional Visiting

Exceptional visiting due to End of Life care or compassionate grounds must be pre-arranged with the Clinical Nurse Manager of the ward/unit.
All visitors are required to wear a surgical mask and comply with hand hygiene practices. Surgical masks are available at the entrance to the Hospital.
It is also strong advised that prior to arrival, all visitors take an antigen test. Please do not visit the hospital if you are unwell.

Clinical Audit
Information held in your health records may be used to assess the quality of the care you have received against nationally and locally agreed best practice standards of care.  The results of this assessment can then be used to make changes and improvements to the care we provide to our service users.  This process is known as clinical audit.  Your confidentiality is ensured throughout this process and all audit reports are anonymised in line with HSE Data Protection Policies.
