Clinical Education and Research Centre

The Clinical Education and Research Centre (CERC) located on the University Hospital Limerick campus in Dooradoyle is jointly owned by the Health Services Executive and the University of Limerick. It is home for the Graduate Entry Medical School programme and post graduate teaching programmes on the hospital campus. Leading-edge teaching facilities include 8 well-equipped modern Tutorial rooms, which can be used flexibly to suit different sizes of tutorial groups with videoconferencing facilities to connect to UL and GEMS affiliate hospitals.

A large Clinical Area for simulation and research mimics a typical hospital ward or intensive care unit. The 150 seat Lecture Theatre is equipped with advanced audio-visual equipment, including 3D projection of Robotic Surgical procedure from the Operating Theatres. Other CERC occupants include the Mid-West Intern Network, the Health Research Institute (HRI) and the Regional Medical Library. All queries relating to the CERC can be directed to CERC Building Manger, Mary.OKelly@ul.ie.
