Dermatology is the branch of medicine that deals with disorders of the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes. Dermatology encompasses many different diseases of the skin, including allergies, inflammatory disorders such as eczema and psoriasis, infections and skin cancer.

Referral Process

A GP letter will be sent directly to the consultant who will then be graded and the patient will then be offered an appointment.

Services/Treatments

Services available include treatment for skin conditions such as Acne, Dermatitis, Eczema, Psoriasis and Melanoma.

Treatments include the use of topical treatments applied to the skin, oral antibiotics, hormonal treatment used for the treatment of acne. Phototherapy is the use of ultraviolet light in the treatment of psoriasis.
