A specialist Lymphoedema service is provided to patients by a Medical Integrative Therapist, Meadbh Mac Sweeney. Ms. Mac Sweeney has provided Lymphoedema therapy to patients since September 2008 when provision of the service was transferred from the Physiotherapy Department to Cancer Services Department. Ms Mac Sweeney was joined on a part-time basis by Karen Lucey in 2009 and the service is provided every Wednesday in Suite 4. Informationsession on Lymphoedema is provided to both patients and staff by the scheduling regular group sessions in the Cancer information and Support Centre.
