The international aim of Restart a Heart in 2019 is to raise awareness about cardiac arrest and increase bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The HSE National Ambulance Service will be providing CPR awareness, familiarisation, and training sessions across the country. Events for Restart a Heart 2019 will be run in partnership with HSE resuscitation training officers, Irish Heart Foundation CPR instructors, Community First Responders, Civil Defence, Order of Malta, St. John Ambulance, Red Cross, county Fire Services, the Defence Forces, CFR Ireland and the Prehospital Emergency Care Council.

Last year, through the combined efforts of National Ambulance Service and our Restart a Heart partners, over 10,500 people attended CPR sessions nationwide, including 2,000 staff in HSE venues. Please encourage your family and friends to attend any of the sessions listed below.
