Staying Well Group

The Stay Well group is a recovery focused group using WRAP which promotes the principles of recovery. WRAP stands for Wellness Recovery Action Plan.

What does the Programme do?
The goal of the Stay Well group is to offer a safe and supportive environment for you to discuss and share ideas on how to manage mental health. It promotes empowerment, education, personal responsibility, healthy living and peer support. It encourages you to learn about local community resources and to use our services.

Who should go on this Programme?
People who have experienced mental health difficulties and want to learn more on how to manage their own mental health.

How do I get on this Programme?
Any member of your Local Mental Health team can refer you.

What happens next?
We will contact you before the Programme starts and we’ll help you to complete some quick assessments.

How long does it last?
The programme lasts for six weeks and the group meets three times a week.

Who runs this Programme?
Different members of the team facilitate the group – Nurses, a Social Worker and an Occupational Therapist. There are always two facilitators per session.

Is there a waiting list?
It varies from area to area depending on the demand. You may have to wait a few weeks before a new programme starts but you will be contacted as soon as possible.
