GP information and Resources on Breast Pain

Breast pain is very common and can cause worry but breast pain without any other breast signs or symptoms is not suggestive of cancer. This information has been developed for GPs to use to manage mastalgia among pre-menopausal women who have a normal clinical breast examination and no evidence of a discrete lump. The booklet should be used as an educational tool by women, identified by their GP, who have presented with breast pain and have a completely normal breast examination. The booklet has a Pain Chart on the back page for completion
