Sexual Assault Forensic Examination training course

Following the recent Department of Health policy review of SATU services, funding has been secured to train forensic medical examiners. This is a two-day basic training course for doctors of various specialty backgrounds who plan to work in SATUs as Forensic Medical Examiners (FMEs).  SATUs are based in Dublin, Mullingar, Galway, Letterkenny, Cork and Waterford.  Note that completion of this course does not mean an individual is competent to work unsupervised. Further training, supervision and mentoring, in accordance with National Guidelines, will be required.

The course will take place on Friday and Saturday, September 27th and 28th 2019.
