It is anticipated that the building will be completed by March/April 2023 with a handover phase to be agreed with staff after completion.  There will be a series of information and orientation sessions with staff to get them familiar with the new facilities before the relocation of residents.

“Consultation is ongoing with the Older Persons Service, patient advocates and the wider community to put a plan in place for the transfer of the residents to the new facility when all the provisions are in place and the appropriate approvals have been received.  This includes inspection and approval of the facility by the Health Information & Quality Authority. We look forward to welcoming our residents to the new Ballyshannon Community Hospital”
