COVID-19 Testing centres move temporarily in Cavan Monaghan

COVID-19 Testing Centre have moved to two new temporary locations in Cavan and Monaghan.

Monaghan CTC has a moved to a temporary base at the NEDOC site, Castleblayney, Monaghan, A75 PR66.

Cavan CTC has also relocated temporarily to Cavan General Hospital, Lisdarn Co. Cavan H12 Y7W1 .

You do not need a PCR test if you are:

  • under 55 years of age with symptoms of COVID-19 and you are otherwise healthy
  • age 55 or older and you are fully boosted, even if you have symptoms of COVID-19

You can get a PCR test if you have symptoms and you:

  • are age 55 or older and have not had a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose
  • have a high-risk medical condition
  • have a weak immune system (immunocompromised)
  • live in the same household as a person who has a weak immune system or provide support or care for them
  • are pregnant
  • are a healthcare worker

Linda McClean, Community Testing Lead Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan, Sligo said “We would like to advise people about the two new temporary locations for Cavan and Monaghan COVID-19 Testing Centres. We would advise people to check their eligibility before attending the centres at HSE.ie, as it may be subject to change.”
