The HSE’s Health Promotion and Improvement Department is running a six week ‘Stop Smoking’ support group commencing next Wednesday September 14th. The smoking cessation course which is free of charge is open to everyone and takes place in the Erinville Hospital, Western Rd. Cork from 11.00am to12.30pm each week.
Miriam O’Shea, Smoking Cessation Officer with the HSE said “this course offers smokers support and practical advice on how to reduce and quit smoking using different approaches and techniques. We know what a challenge it can be to quit smoking. People don’t have to go it alone and there is help and advice for them. Armed with the right information, professional advice and the support of friends and family, their wish can really come true and cigarettes can be a thing of the past.”
