Further to the statement issued yesterday by the HSE, St Luke's General Hospital are issuing the following Public Notice to their Patients:
All day surgery and day cases are cancelled for (Monday 5th March) In St. Luke’s General Hospital, Kilkenny. Outpatients will proceed as per normal.
Staff will be in contact with patients from tomorrow and over the coming days in relation to rescheduling appointments that were cancelled during the snow.
It is expected that all services will be phased back to normal over the coming week, however, due to the expected backlog of emergency cases, there may be more planned procedures deferred for a short period over the coming week, patients will be notified directly if there is any expected delays.
We are conscious that some patients may be anxious about traveling over the next few days for planned appointments and if they have any problem or concerns, they should contact the hospital directly between 9.30 and 5pm tomorrow at 056 7785000, or use the extension number on their appointment letter.
We are asking that patients Do Not contact the hospital today, as our lines are busy with emergency cases/queries.
