COVID-19 Vaccinator Recruitment Initiative
Registered Professions & Students as Vaccinators
As the HSE progresses the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, the priorities are safety and working to protect people as quickly as possible. The COVID-19 vaccination programme has evolved, developed and expanded in response to the pandemic. A dynamic, flexible and responsive approach to the roll out of the vaccination programme is required in order to offer the vaccine to the relevant population of Ireland.
In this regard, a further National COVID-19 Vaccinator Recruitment Initiative has been launched which includes new disciplines and students from approved education programmes. This initiative seeks to recruit relevant registered healthcare professionals and students of relevant education programmes for the role of COVID-19 Vaccinators so that a skilled workforce is in place and ready to administer the vaccines as the relevant supplies become available. The Vaccinator appointed will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering a coordinated approach to the rollout of the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme.
This recruitment initiative for the HSE is being supported by CPL Healthcare and is open to any applicant who meets the eligibility criteria. Candidates appointed will be CPL Healthcare employees and will receive CPL Healthcare temporary contracts of employment.
Speaking about the recruitment initiative Anne Marie Hoey, National Director of Human Resources in the HSE said ‘It is important that these roles are recruited as soon as possible to support the continued roll out of the vaccination programme. We are building and deploying this professional workforce in order to be prepared for the requirements associated with offering COVID-19 vaccines to the relevant population of Ireland.’
