The 5th strategic healthcare leadership development masterclass was hosted by HSE Director General Tony O’Brien on April 18, 2018 at the Helix, DCU campus, Dublin 9.
This was a key calendar event for senior managers and leaders across the Irish health system and wider business community to come together to learn, to be challenged and to be inspired by acclaimed speakers in the area of health services leadership and improvement.
Building on the learning from the previous masterclasses the 2018 event was a valuable opportunity for senior managers and leaders to network and consider their individual and collective roles in building a better health service – the vision of the HSEs Corporate Plan 2015-2018.
The Director General asked senior managers and leaders to seize the opportunity to concentrate on their personal development for the improvement of our services. He also requested that they share and reinforce the key messages with colleagues in their own departments/organisations so we can collectively continue to build on the knowledge, motivation and commitment generated by the event.
He specifically asked senior manages and leaders to think about "one new thing" they will do differently to support building a better health service as a result of attending the Masterclass.
We welcome any suggestions senior managers and leaders may have to enhance the Masterclass experience and we can be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org.
