2019 Strategic Workforce Planning & Intelligence Conference
On February 20th 2019, Strategic Workforce Planning, National HR, held its inaugural National Health and Social Care Workforce Planning Conference. The theme for this first conference was ‘Join the conversation…planning the workforce through evidence’, and was attended by over 120 attendees from across our health services along with external key stakeholders.
The conference was opened by our National Director of Human Resources, Ms Rosarii Mannion, who welcomed and invited attendees to listen and engage with the range of national and international expert speakers, addressing a variety of important topics relating to workforce planning on both the home and international stage. This was an important step in the further communication and developments relating to the on-going work subsequent to the publication of the Strategic Framework for Health and Social Care Workforce Planning.
The conference enabled excellent networking opportunities to build future collaborations, which was evident in the discussions throughout the day.The day also provided the opportunity to launch our refreshed HSE workforce website, providing expanded information on employment reporting, research, tools and links to support workforce planning which can be found here
We would like to thank our speakers, all those attending on the day, the organisers, and colleagues in the Department of Health for supporting this conference and providing a wonderful venue at their new location, in Mesian Plaza.
