Frequently Asked Questions
Below are the answers to questions that you might have about the survey.
We want to hear the views of patients and stakeholders on what matters most to you in improving Primary Care and GP services in Ireland before the introduction of a new GP Contract.
The GP contract sets out what type of services are provided by the GPs to GMS Medical Card and GP visit card holders. The HSE is preparing to renegotiate the current GP Contract to enhance Primary Care services. That is why we are getting the views of patients and stakeholders about what matters most to them in improving Primary Care and GP services in Ireland.
The survey is being conducted on behalf of the health sector by Coyne Research, an independent market research company.
A range of themes are covered, including areas that are working well in GP (family doctor) and primary care services, services that work well and what can be improved. Before we begin you will be asked for some general personal information such as your age and gender. This is important as it will help us to understand how groups of people are experiencing their Primary Care and GP services at the moment. You will not be asked for any details which will identify you personally. All information will be anonymous. The survey should take a few minutes to complete. Thank you for contributing.
The survey will close at 5:30pm on Monday 5th December 2016.
You are encouraged to take part – your opinion counts.
All completed responses are provided directly to Coyne – no one in the health sector can see your individual results. Coyne is a member of the Market Research Society and is bound by its Code of Conduct not to identify individual respondents, which guarantees complete confidentiality.
