Heart Failure Awareness Week took place from Monday 29th April to Sunday 5th May 2024 and the staff of Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore along with the Irish Association of Heart Failure Nurses (IAHFN) were busy raising awareness amongst hospital staff and the general public. Heart Failure can be an alarming diagnosis. Many people do not understand the term whilst many more underestimate their individual risk which can affect as many as 1 in 5 of us during our lifetime.
On Friday April 12th, the Real Time Bed Management (RTBM) programme on the HSE Patient Administration System, iPMS was launched by our colleagues at Midlands Regional Hospital at Tullamore (MRHT).
The sixth National Inpatient Experience Survey began on 1st May 2024 and will run throughout the month of May in all public acute hospitals in Ireland including the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore. The survey is part of the National Care Experience Programme, a joint initiative by the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA), the Health Service Executive (HSE) and the Department of Health.
The Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore has introduced a new initiative, the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Virtual Ward. This program launched in March 2024 with the aim of transforming the care of patients with COPD by using digital technology.
