To use this system you will need to register with Healthlink through their website www.healthlink.ie or by phone on 01 8825606.

NCCP Webinar on National GP Electronic Cancer Referral

The National Cancer Control Programme hosted a webinar on Thursday 25th April 2024, to provide an update on national NCCP GP electronic cancer referral.

This webinar will be of interest to national multi-disciplinary cancer teams, and those who currently use NCCP GP E-Referral very well attended this.

NCCP Policy on Electronic Referrals from Primary Care for Patients with Suspected Cancer

The NCCP recommends that where NCCP Electronic Cancer GP Referral is available, faxed referrals should no longer be accepted at NCCP Cancer Clinics.  Further details are available in the policy National Policy on NCCP GP E-Referrals.

Electronic Cancer Referral In Ireland: The National Cancer Control Programme Approach

Background : The National Cancer Strategy 2006 recognised that information systems should be developed to manage cancer services.  The National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP), in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders, has developed electronic cancer referral for breast, prostate, lung cancer and pigmented lesion.
