Private - Private Care with Consultant shared with GP
Some women choose to attend a Consultant Obstetrician privately for their maternity care. This is a fee-paying model of care with your chosen obstetrician.
Care includes:
- The consultant obstetrician in his private clinic provides antenatal care.
- When you are admitted to hospital the midwife and obstetric team on duty will care for you. Your consultant will be involved in all decisions made relating to your care and will attend for your delivery.
- You will be accommodated in a private or semi-private room as soon as one becomes available. If you are private to the Consultant then you will be charged for other services including your accommodation.
