To ask the Minister for Health if her attention has been drawn to concerns related to the provision of foot care for the elderly (National shortage of podiatrists and chiropodists. Very few are trained each year and visiting one is approx €80 a visit if you can get an appointment. Many elderly people cannot afford to have their feet attended to at that price. The HSE issues a chiropody card. With this card you are entitled to four visits to the chiropodists at a reduced rate of about €40. This is not sufficient to meet the needs of many people, forcing them to pay privately.); the actions she will take to address these concerns; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
