Opening and closing screens
Opening Screens
How our videos should begin:
Opening screens are optional. They should be used when you need to display a short title to provide additional context or information to your viewer before your video begins.
If you don't need an opening screen, you can start straight at the first frame of footage.
Videos for social media:
For videos that will only be hosted on social media, avoid using an opening screen to keep social videos as short as possible. Include any additional context and partner mentions in the social copy instead.
How the opening screen should look:
If you don't need to include a partner logo, you should use the HSE logo-only opening screen template (PSD, 864KB, 1 file).
Use Arial bold font and adjust the text size to what works best based on text length, staying as close in size to the template as possible.
Partner logos
When you need to use a partner logo, use the HSE partner logo opening screen template (PSD, 492KB, 1 file).
Closing Screens
How our videos should end
All videos should have a closing slide to encourage your audience to take an action such as sharing the video on social media or visiting a website.
If you are using an opening screen, the closing screen must always match that background colour.
If you don't need to include a partner logo, download the HSE logo-only closing screen template (PSD, 474 KB, 1 file).
You can also download the HSE logo-only closing screen template as a PNG file (PNG, 32KB, 1 file)
Closing screen for mobile video
If you are editing on a mobile phone, download a blank closing screen template (PNG, 36 KB, 1 file).
Partner Logo
When you need to use a partner logo, use the HSE partner logo closing screen template (PSD, 492KB, 1 file).
Own brand identity
Coloured backgrounds can be used when the campaign or programme has its own brand identity and colour scheme.
Important:The HSE watermark logo must be the only persistent logo throughout the duration of the video.
