Circular NCO-26-2025 Recording of Primary Childhood Immunisation
was issued on 10th November.
The Primary Childhood Immunisation Programme (PCI) is now being integrated into the National Immunisation Information System. This means that from 27 November 2025, PCI records that are entered into your accredited GP Practice Management System (PMS) will automatically transfer to NIIS, reducing the need for paper-based vaccination returns.
In advance of the implementation of the NIIS, GPs are asked to ensure that any outstanding retrospective vaccination records relating to children born prior to 01 October 2025 are entered into your GP PMS as soon as possible and all claims are submitted to Local Health / Immunisation Offices by 30 November 2025, to ensure payments are correctly processed.
