DSGBV strategy

Zero Tolerance - Third National Strategy on DSGBV.

The central aim of the current strategy is Zero Tolerance of DSGBV in Irish society. It is structured around four pillars; prevention, protection, protection, prosecution and policy coordination

The HSE implements actions within the strategy under the protection pillar focusing on;

  • Ensuring staff have access to DSGBV information.
  • Ensuring staff are trained to appropriately support DSGBV victims and survivors.
  • Support FGM victims to access appropriate healthcare services.
  • Support marginalised women to access appropriate healthcare services.
