NFMHS Shortlisted for Irish Healthcare Award

The National Forensic Mental Health Service has been shortlisted for the Irish Healthcare Award for Best Use of Information Technology: Transforming Delivery of Forensic Mental Healthcare. This is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved in the development and implementation of the Trakcare system. We can already see the staff benefits and enhancements in the quality of care to our patients, and hope that NFMHS will receive a positive outcome at the awards event in December.

NFMHS launches new electronic clinical management patient information system

On the 6 September 2023, the HSE National Forensic Mental Health Service (NFMHS) successfully launched an electronic clinical management patient information system. This electronic patient record system has been developed by the Health Service Executive, eHealth Ireland, NFMHS project team and with our approved contractor InterSystems. The system is based around the NFMHS model of care which forms the basis of our clinical care and treatment with patients. This new system will enhance how we deliver our service to our patients, will empower our staff to make informed decisions, and allow for best practice to be implemented across the service.
